Nassau County Executive Laura Curran announced the news on her Facebook page.

“Excited to announce that the County’s Old Bethpage Village Restoration will host The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze for the second consecutive year – providing a spectacular & safe way to celebrate the Halloween season here in Nassau,” she wrote. “We hope this unique and popular event will bring visitors to our downtowns and spur some local economic activity.”

The event features thousands of carved and lighted pumpkins arranged to create fantastical and spooky exhibits. According to Newsday, this year’s event will premiere some new sculptures.

Last year, The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze sold out and was extended to allow for more visitors. You must buy tickets in advance.
