Senator John Brooks, Local Leaders, & Freeport Chamber Of Commerce Host Small Business Roundtable

Freeport, NY - August 29, 2018 - Senator John Brooks today joined with the Freeport Chamber of Commerce and local elected leaders to host a ‘Freeport Small Business Roundtable’ with dozens of Freeport small businesses. The Senator discussed the issues and challenges facing local residents as well as legislation he has supported to help minority small business owners overcome these unique challenges. The roundtable is part of a multi-pronged approach taken by Senator John Brooks to help small business owners address the challenges they face and builds on the success of a recent roundtable held in Roosevelt.
“As State Senator, I have worked to help empower more Long Island residents and grow our local economy,” Senator John Brooks said. “That is why I am so proud to work with my colleagues in local government and the Freeport Chamber of Commerce to help more local entrepreneurs unleash their potential and succeed as small business owners. I will keep up the fight to ensure our communities get the support and investment we deserve from Albany.”
Sylvia Cabana, Hempstead Town Clerk, said, “Very pleased to join Senator Brooks, the Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce, and Freeport Chamber Of Commerce to start the discussion of ways we can bring economic development and job creation to our town while ensuring there is a level playing field for Hispanic and minority owned businesses!”
