East Garden City, NY - August 29, 2016 - The Third Squad reports the details of a serious injury that occurred on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 3:05 P.M. in East Garden City.

According to detectives, while inside Neiman Marcus located at Roosevelt Field Mall, a male, 11, was hanging onto the railing of the escalator as it was going up.  When he reached the top floor he fell approximately 30 feet striking his mother, 33, causing her to injure her foot.  Both victims were transported by Nassau County ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries, where the male is listed in serious condition with a head injury.
