Two Queens Men Arrested for Attempted Burglary in Point Lookout

Point Lookout, NY - August 29th, 2014 - The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of two Queens men for an Attempted Burglary which occurred on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 5:20 P.M. in Point Lookout.

According to detectives, a male, 27, was in his Lido Boulevard home when his doorbell rang.  He went to the door and no one was there.  When he went back into his house he heard a screen break and realized a man was attempting to enter a side window.  The suspect walked towards the front of the house where the victim saw the suspect and another man enter a black Range Rover and fled westbound on Lido Boulevard.  The victim called police and responding officers stopped the car. After an investigation, Wilmer Barona, 25, of 121 Street, Apt 2, College Point and Jonathan Cordoba, 27, of Parsons Boulevard, Flushing  were placed under arrest without incident.

Both men are charged with Burglary 2nd degree (Attempt).  Additionally Barona is charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree.  Both men were scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at First District Court in Hempstead.
