NCPD: Roosevelt Man Arrested in Connection with Shots Fired at Roosevelt Middle School

Nassau County Police report the details of an arrest for Attempted Murder that occurred on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. in Roosevelt.
 
According to police, First Precinct patrol officers responded for a call of shots fired at Roosevelt Middle School, located at 335 East Clinton Avenue. Upon arrival police were directed to a nearby house where they were told the suspect had fled. Emergency Services and Bureau of Special Operations responded and after a thorough investigation placed Lennox London, 36, of Roosevelt under arrest without incident. No injuries were reported. An execution of a search warrant on the defendant’s home resulted in the recovery of a semi-automatic handgun.
 
Defendant Lennox London is charged with Attempted Murder 2nd Degree, and Criminal  Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. He was arraigned on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at First District Court, Main Street, in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
