Smithtown Man Arrested for Stalking Jogger, Suffolk Police Report
Ronkonkoma, NY - August 28, 2017 - Suffolk County Police on Saturday, August 26, 2017 arrested a man for stalking a jogger in Ronkonkoma, New York, on multiple occasions this year.
A 32-year-old woman noticed a man following her while she was jogging in Ronkonkoma on several dates since April. She reported the incident to police on August 25. The woman was jogging on Motor Parkway and Edgewood Avenue in Ronkonkoma today at approximately 9:40 a.m. and noticed the same man. The victim called police and provided a description of the vehicle.
A short time later, responding Fourth Precinct Officer Carol Tappen located the vehicle, a 2003 Ford Taurus, on Motor Parkway and Rosevale Avenue in Ronkonkoma, and arrested the driver, William Adragna.
Adragna, 51, of Smithtown, was charged with Stalking 3rd Degree, Harassment 2nd Degree and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree. He is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on August 27.
