Two 14-Year-Old Boys Arrested for Stealing Pizza Delivery Vehicle

Uniondale, NY - August 27, 2016 - First Squad detectives report the arrests of two 14-year-old male juveniles for a robbery that occurred in Uniondale on Friday, 08/26/16 at 3:10 P.M.

According to detectives, three juveniles were walking on Newtown Ave. when they saw a delivery man making a pizza delivery at a residence.  The victim’s car was left running and one of the juveniles attempted to open the driver side door.  As the victim approached his car, he yelled out at them and one of the juveniles wrapped his arms around the victim restraining him.  The victim did not resist. 

Two of the juveniles entered the victim’s car and drove away.   The third juvenile fled on foot.  At approximately 6:55 P.M., First Precinct police officers located the juveniles in the stolen vehicle on Nassau Rd./E. Fulton Ave. in Roosevelt and attempted to pull them over.  The juveniles fled the scene in the stolen auto and bailed out on St. Francis St./Gormely Ave.  Both juveniles were located in the vicinity and placed under arrest.

No injuries were reported.

Both juveniles are each being charged with Robbery 2nd Degree, Motor Vehicle and will be arraigned on an undisclosed date in Family Court.
