Woman’s Body Found in Canal in Mastic Beach
Mastic Beach, NY - August 27, 2013 - The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in a canal in Mastic Beach this morning.
Seventh Precinct police officers responded to a canal, west of Beaver Drive, after a fisherman noticed a body in the water at 7:58 a.m. The victim is an adult female and has been taken to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed.
The investigation is continuing.
