This Weeks Adorable Adoptables: Meet Red Rose and Penny!

Written by Allison Matos  |  26. August 2016

LI's Adorable Adoptables is a weekly column by Allison Matos, a lifelong Long Island resident who has been advocating animal adoption since 2012. Allison's weekly posts highlight local animals in need of adoption, and cover general animal welfare topics as well.

Red Rose is a pretty Redbone Coonhound who was found as a stray and taken to a Southern shelter. She stayed in a multi-dog kennel and got along well with her “roommates”. Rumor has it she also does well with cats. Red Rose is just a bit nervous at the shelter but would really thrive in a loving home that can love and appreciate the attributes of sweet Coonhound. With the right amount of love and affection, Red Rose will bud into the gorgeous flower that she is. For more information, check out her webpage.

Found in a parking lot by a dumpster, Penny and her sisters were hungry and alone. Luckily, they were rescued and given a second chance. Lovingly home fostered and vetted, Penny and her sisters are more than ready to find their forever homes! For more information, check out Penny's webpage or better yet, stop in and meet her in person today!

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt- never shop...pass it on!
