Three Arrests Made in Connection with Nassau County Pharmacy Burglary Spree

Nassau County, NY - August 24, 2017 - The Major Case Bureau reports the details of 3 arrests for Burglary that occurred in various locations in Nassau County.
 
According to the Burglary Pattern Team detectives with the assistance of the Asset Forfeiture Intelligence Unit, 3 subjects were arrested on August 22, 2017 for multiple burglaries in Nassau County. 
 
The defendants identified as Anthony Cataldo, 50, of Holbrook, Bill Ford, 48, of Lynn, Massachusetts and Nicole Maupin, 29, of Bay Shore.  
 
The Investigation revealed that these 3 defendants did break into three pharmacies:
 
  1. Transcript Pharmacy – 87 Fulton Street, Farmingdale on July 30, 2017
  2. Duane Reade – 1149 Merrick Avenue, North Merrick on August 21, 2017
  3. Rite Aid – 5125 Merrick Road, Massapequa on August 22, 2017
The above defendants did remove large quantities of fentanyl, oxycontin and oxycodone. Searches of two of the defendant’s residences recovered large quantities of fentanyl, oxycontin and oxycodone. Also recovered were tools and communication devices. 
 
Defendant Cataldo is being charged with 4 counts of Burglary in the 3rdDegree. Defendant Ford is being charged with 2 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree and defendant Maupin is being charged with 3 counts of Burglary in the 3rd Degree. They will be arraigned on Wednesday August 23, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
