Police: Hempstead Man Caught in Connection with Uniondale Forcible Touching Incident

Uniondale, NY - August 23, 2017 - First Squad detectives report the arrest of Jonathan Vega, 25, of Hempstead, on Tuesday, 08/22/17, in connection with an incident that occurred in Uniondale on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 7:20 A.M.
 
According to detectives, a female victim, 24, while waiting for a bus at Hampton Pl and Uniondale Avenue was approached by subject Vega. Vega was observed attempting to take cellphone pictures under the skirt of the victim. Vega then grabbed the victim from behind lifted up her dress and began to fondle her inappropriately. Investigation revealed Vega then left scene in a white 4 door Honda Accord.
 
Vega is being charged with Forcible Touching, Unlawful Surveillance 2nd Degree and will be arraigned on Wednesday, 08/23/17 in First District Court, Hempstead.
