Freeport, NY - August 22, 2016 - Marine life and Long Island are intimately entwined. LI towns relied on fishing for centuries. Horseshoe crabs, loligo squid, striped bass, and the osprey all share important aspects of LI’s marine history, economy, and pride. On Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM The South Nassau Unitarian Universalist Congregation (SNUUC) located at 228 South Ocean Ave. Freeport, LI will host an art opening for two local artists celebrating the marine life which surrounds Long Island as well as the natural history of the island.
