Islip, NY - August 22, 2015 - On 8/21/15, at approximately 10:17 PM, Farmingdale Communications received a call  reporting a naked man running on the eastbound Southern State Parkway, west of exit 45 (Montauk Highway).  Troopers responded to the area and observed Robert Zimmerman, age 57, of East Islip, NY, standing on the right shoulder only wearing a t-shirt and sneakers.  Troopers apprehended Mr. Zimmerman shortly after he ran into the wooded area off the parkway shoulder.  Mr. Zimmerman's pants were later found in the woods.

The defendant was charged with Public Lewdness (Class B Misdemeanor) and released on an appearance ticket returnable in Suffolk County First District Court on 8/31/15 at 9:00 AM.
