Lose Yourself In The North Fork Sunflower Maze

Written by Catherine Eve  |  21. August 2019

Martin and Carol Sidor, creators of North Fork Potato Chips, have been making potato chips since 2004. They grow the potatoes that they use for their potato chips on a Mattituck farm that has been in the Sidor family since 1910. The farm is also where they grow fields of sunflowers that have become one of the most picture perfect attractions on the East End.

The sunflowers were originally grown to be used as sunflower oil for the potato chips, but are currently being used as a maze to be enjoyed by the public. The sunflower maze is in full bloom now and is meant to be a place where guests can walk around, take photos and be surrounded by stunning natural beauty.

The North Fork Sunflower Maze is located at 8623 Wickham Avenue in Mattituck. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to sunset through September, weather permitting. Admission is $7 for adults, children under 12 are free.

If you would like more information on the sunflower maze call 631-298-5907, visit the North Fork Potato Chips website or visit its Facebook page. Follow them on Instagram at @northforkchips.
