NCPD: Elderly Pedestrian Struck and Critically Injured While Crossing Elmont Street

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating a serious auto accident involving a pedestrian that occurred in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, while attempting to cross Linden Boulevard at 239th Street, the 72 year old male pedestrian was struck by an eastbound 2017 Mercedes Benz that was being operated by a 57 year old male who remained at the scene. As a result of the collision the pedestrian suffered multiple trauma injuries, was transported to an area hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.
 
The investigation into this accident continues.
