NCPD reports the arrest of Rocael Culajay of Roosevelt, 42, for DWI.

Greenvale, NY - August 20, 2018 - The Nassau County Police Department reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for Driving While Intoxicated/Leandra’s Law that occurred on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00 a.m. in Greenvale.
 
According to Police, a Third Precinct Officer observed Rocael Culajay, 42, failing to stay in a single lane while driving a 2002 Toyota 4Runner Southbound on Glen Cove Rd. The defendant had his son, a 10 year old male, in the back seat of the car at the time.
 
Upon stopping the vehicle, the officer smelled a strong odor of alcohol on the defendant’s breath and observed that he had glassy eyes and slurred speech. At this time, the defendant was placed under arrest. The minor was released to a relative.
 
Rocael Culajay is charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (Child under 15) under Leandra's Law, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, False Personation as well as multiple VTL violations. He will be arraigned on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
