With Two Mixed-Use Buildings Completed, Retailers Opening & Wyandanch Plaza Arts Fair 2016 Scheduled—It’s Time to Visit Wyandanch Village

Garden City, NY - August 19, 2016- The Albanese Organization, the Garden City-based, full-service real estate firm committed to sustainable development and master developer of Wyandanch Rising, has completed construction on 40 and 10 Station Drive. These two high-quality, mixed-use buildings are already at capacity. They’ve celebrated the grand openings of three retailers: New York Community Bank, KB Department Store and Domino’s with itsnew “pizza-theater” restaurant concept. The Albanese Organization is now turning some of its focus to assisting town and community members with programming, by supporting the Wyandanch Plaza Association, at the newly completed transit plaza, The Plaza at Wyandanch, to bring more Long Island residents to the hamlet.

“The near completion of this transit plaza signifies that Wyandanch Village is truly becoming a destination spot,” stated Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer. “This year’s arts fair shows the success of the Town’s initiative to revitalize a key downtown area that caters to the surrounding community.” 
 
 
Scheduled for Saturday, August 20th, the inaugural Wyandanch Plaza Arts Fair begins with Opening Ceremonies at 12:30pm, followed by:

La Troupe Zetwal- Performance Followed by Workshop- Traditional Haitian Dance, Zouk and Soukous Dance with drumming
2 PM Sol Y Sombra- Performance- Experience a Unique Twist on Latino Culture, as they Explore Flamenco, Argentine Tango, and Latin dance!

Brady Rymer & The Little Band That Could - This accordion-laced pop and rock Children’s music regularly wins critical acclaim and national awards including two Children's GRAMMY nominations!
4 PM Sol Y Sombra- Latin Dance Workshop

Venettes Cultural Workshop- Performance Followed by Lesson- Its Dance, Charm, Voice, and Drum Divisions have assisted generations of NY students with earning academic, dance, and musical scholarships, have helped focus their minds and spirits, and boosted their self-esteem.
5:30 PM Christopher Dean Sullivan- Performance Followed by Workshop- Mr. Sullivan is a critically acclaimed, well-travelled Bassist, who is the recipient of many Arts awards. He is highly versed in many musical languages: Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Latin, Fusion, Caribbean, Indian, African, Eurocentric perceptions and more.

8 PM ZOOTOPIA- Outdoor Movie- In a city of anthropomorphic animals, a rookie bunny cop and a cynical con artist fox must work together to uncover a conspiracy.
