VIDEO: Mastic Beach Man Playing Pokemon Go Has Phone Stolen By Two Males on Bicycles, Police Seek Public's Help to Identify and Locate Suspects

Mastic Beach, NY - August 16, 2016 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two people who stole a cell phone from a man in Mastic Beach.

A 22-year-old Mastic Beach man was playing Pokemon Go on his Samsung Galaxy Avant cell phone when two males on bicycles stole the phone from his hand on Cypress Drive on July 22 at approximately 12:40 p.m.

Detectives do not believe the man was lured to the location via the game.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
