Erik Gershwind of Old Westbury Recognized at UJA-federation of New York’s Al Berg Summerfest Concert

UJA-Federation of New York honored Old Westbury resident Erik Gershwind at its annual Al Berg Summerfest Concert on Wednesday, August 10. Gershwind received the Robert S. Boas Award for his philanthropic achievements and commitment to the community.
 
Erik Gershwind is chief executive officer of MSC Industrial Supply. He serves in leadership capacities for several nonprofits, including co-chair of UJA’s Long Island Premiere campaign kickoff event. He is working to cultivate the next generation of UJA leadership on Long Island.
 
Standup comedian and actress Amy Schumer performed for the sold-out crowd of 700 guests at the Tilles Center LIU Post lawn.
 
The event was hosted by UJA’s New Leadership Campaign, which is chaired by Hayley and Coby Rejwan. Summerfest event chairs were Jessica and Matthew Grossman, Jennifer and Bradley Gruber, and Shari and Chris Smith. Summerfest was produced by a small group of UJA donors. Proceeds benefit UJA’s annual campaign.
