Four Busted in Connection with Elmont Robbery, According to Nassau Authorities

Fifth Squad detectives report the arrests of four (4) individuals for a Robbery that originally occurred on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 3:30 am in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, a male, 20, and female, 19, entered the Elmont Deli located at 237-01 Linden Boulevard. After exiting the store, they proceeded to their vehicle which was parked on 237th Street. Shortly after entering his vehicle, two (2) unknown males approached the driver’s side door and opened it. They demanded the victim’s property but he did not comply. One of the males entered the rear seat and began to choke the victim. The subjects removed an unknown amount of US currency and fled eastbound. The subject entered a blue colored vehicle which had two (2) additional subjects sitting in the front seats and fled westbound.
 
A thorough investigation was conducted and the following subjects were arrested this week:
 
  • Leann Horne, 20, of Levittown
  • Tianna Reid, 18, of Hollis
  • Jahvon Thompson, 24, of Hollis
  • Taishawn Blanton, 20, of Hollis
Defendant Horne was charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and was previously arraigned.
 
Defendants Thompson, Reid and Blanton are charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Conspiracy 4th Degree. Reid and Blanton are additionally charged with Criminal Use of a Firearm and Robbery 2nd Degree. They were arraigned at First District Court, Hempstead. 
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
