Stony Brook, NY - August 14, 2018 - Film composer Mike Patton and filmmaker Hana Noka are Tom Needham’s special guests this Thursday on WUSB’s the ‘Sounds of Film.’

Renaissance man, Mike Patton, is best known for being the lead singer of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle. Faith No More is a hugely successful band which blends heavy metal, funk, hip-hop and progressive rock. In addition, Mike has played with John Zorn, Tomahawk, Fantômas, Dead Cross, Lovage, Peeping Tom and The Dillinger Escape Plan.

Patton is equally committed to his successful film scoring career. His latest soundtrack is for Netflix’s Steven King film ‘1922.’ Ipecac Recordings just released the ‘1922 Original Motion Picture Soundtrack’ on CD and vinyl. Patton has also done scores for the films ‘A Perfect Place,’ ‘Crank: High Voltage,’ and ‘The Place Beyond the Pines.’
