NCPD Marine Bureau Rescues Teenager In Distress Near Jones Beach Fishing Piers
Seaford, NY - August 13, 2018 - Nassau County Police Department Marine Bureau reports the details of an incident that occurred on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 6:32 p.m. off of Seaford.
According to Police, 911 received a call for a 14 year old female in distress in Sloop Channel. The juvenile was in distress on an inflatable paddleboard near the Jones Beach fishing piers.
Nassau County Marine Bureau responded and was able to place the juvenile and the paddleboard onboard Marine 3. The juvenile was transported to Jones Beach fishing piers where she was left in the custody of her mother.
No injuries were reported.
