117 Pints of Blood Collected by St. Joseph’s and Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta’s Blood Drive

Kings Park, NY - August 11, 2017 - Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta would like to thanks all of the parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church and members of the community who came out in record numbers to donate their blood to benefit the blood banks maintained by Long Island Blood Services. 
 
“At our blood drive, 145 donors attempted to donate, resulting in 117 lifesaving blood donations. The outpouring of support was truly amazing and people kept coming non- stop to donate, said Legislator Trotta. 
 
“According to the agency, this was one of the most successful blood drives held at St. Joseph’s Church. It seems like Kings Park comes through again,” added Trotta.
 
Legislator Robert Trotta represents the 13th Legislative District, which includes Smithtown, Fort Salonga, Kings Park, San Remo, Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and St. James, as well as most of East Northport and parts of Northport and Commack.
 
Legislator Trotta serves on the Legislature’s Economic Development, Environment, Planning & Agriculture, Health,Public Works, Transportation & Energy, and Ways & Means Committees.
