Summer is coming to a close with the arrival of Labor Day! Traditionally, Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer. This year it’s on September 7th (first Monday of September, but a little later than usual this year). While the season comes to an end, there’s still much to enjoy from the three-day holiday weekend. See all there is to do with friends and family on Long Island during the holiday!

Labor Day is a yearly national tribute to all the hard-working Americans. It recognizes and commemorates the achievements of American workers past and present in helping our country grow and prosper. Take part in the celebration with all the events and fun things to do outlined in this holiday weekend guide!

Glide along on a guided canoe tour of the Seashore's most extensive salt marsh. Explore the vast and beautiful "sea of green" and specialized plants and animals that make up one of the most productive ecosystems on Earth. Canoes, paddles, and life jackets provided. Space is limited to 20 paddlers (2 paddlers per canoe) and one passenger per canoe. Participants must be 16 and older to paddle. Participants must be able to swim.
