Motorcyclist Critically Injured after Shirley Motor Vehicle Crash, Officials Report

Shirley, NY - August 9, 2018 - Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a man in Shirley on Wednesday, August 8, 2018.
 
Dwight Brown was operating in a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle when he struck a 2006 Chrysler sedan at the intersection of Flintlock Drive and Propose Road at approximately 6:05 p.m.
 
Brown, 42, of Mastic Beach, who had been traveling southbound on Propose Road, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue, by Shirley Community Ambulance where in critical condition. The driver of the Chrysler, Scott Tufarella, 18, of Shirley, and two of his passengers were not injured.
 
The investigation is continuing. The vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
