Authorities Report Man Dies in Apparent Drowning in Bay Shore

Bay Shore, NY - August 8, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was pulled from the water in Bay Shore on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
 
Third Precinct officers responded to the Bay Shore Marina at approximately 7 p.m. after a 911 caller reported finding a body floating in the water near shore. The man, an 18-year-old Bay Shore resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, is believed to have drowned.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392.
