Centerport, NY - August 6, 2018 - Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci met with residents at the Huntington Beach Community Association (HBCA) Clubhouse on Thursday, August 2 to discuss achievements from his first several months in office.
Supervisor Lupinacci touched upon recent achievements, such as the Town’s partnership with Huntington Hospital-Northwell Health to provide free sunscreen at Town parks and beaches without taxpayer funding, the purchase of “new LED buoys arriving in the next few weeks to make navigating Huntington’s waters safer,” the “expansion of a pilot program in response to resident requests for the storage of dinghies and sunfish at Fleets Cove Beach,” and the implementation of same-day permits for projects including swimming pool installations.
Lupinacci also reviewed achievements from earlier in the year, including the implementation of term limits, live-streaming Town Board meetings, adding evening meetings to the schedule and taking meetings on the road to make it easier for all residents to participate.
The Huntington Beach Community Association is the largest privately owned beach on the North Shore of Long Island. They hold many events ranging from 5Ks to summer recreation programs for children. They have been established for over 90 years.
