Sag Harbor, NY - August 5, 2015 - Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce The Teen Master Classes in Sag Harbor on August 11 with Associate Artistic Director, Will Pomerantz and August 25 with Artistic Director, Scott Schwartz.

AUDITION WORKSHOP, Tues., August 11 from 1 pm – 4 pm:

This workshop will provide a road map for avoiding common mistakes that can be made by young actors on their way to getting the part! Led by Bay Street Theater’s Associate Artistic Director, Will Pomerantz, the workshop will also focus on how to pick the material that shows you to best advantage to directors, casting directors, agents and acting training programs. We will also include techniques on how to deal with reading material "cold", without time to prepare.

Participants in the workshop should bring in a two-minute monologue (ideally, memorized, but this is not required). If actors do not have a monologue, one will be provided at the workshop.

MUSICAL THEATER AND PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP, Tues., August 25 from 1 pm – 5 pm:

Including one-on-one coaching and staging of participants' songs, offered by Scott Schwartz, Broadway Director and Bay Street's Artistic Director. Participants will do a showcase of their work for their friends and family on the Bay Street Mainstage. All participants should prepare and bring the sheet music for two musical theater songs - one uptempo and one ballad.

To sign up for the classes, call the Education Department at 631-725-0818.
