Smithtown, NY - August 3, 2016 - Caitlin Beirne of St. James, who will be a freshman at St. Anthony’s High School in September, opened the July 28 Dennis Cannataro Family Summer Concert with a beautiful rendition of “God Bless America” to the cheers of the crowd.

“I heard Caitlin sing the national anthem” at the Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony for her two brothers and asked if she would consider doing something similar at the summer concerts and fortunately for us she agreed,” said Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta.

The concerts are held each Thursday night at 8pm on the front lawn of the Smithtown Library’s main branch through August 18. The Sunrise Rotary also collects non-perishable food items and toiletries for the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry.

Legislator Robert Trotta represents the 13th Legislative District, which includes Smithtown, Fort Salonga, Kings Park, San Remo, Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and St. James, as well as most of East Northport and parts of Northport and Commack.

Legislator Trotta serves on the Legislature’s Economic Development, Environment, Planning & Agriculture, Health, Public Works, Transportation & Energy, and Ways & Means Committees.
