Six Local Fire Depts Respond to East Rockaway Garage Fire

East Rockaway, NY - August 3rd, 2015 - The Arson Bomb Squad reports the details of a fire that occurred on Sunday, August 02, 2015 at 3:00 a.m. in East Rockaway.
 
According to detectives, Fourth Precinct officers responded to the rear of 166 West Boulevard for a garage fire. Upon arrival officers discovered the unoccupied garage was fully engulfed in flames.  
 
Several neighboring Fire Departments, including East Rockaway, Oceanside, Lynbrook, Rockville Centre and Hewlett responded with 10 trucks and 60 fire personnel and extinguished the fire. 
 
The fire damaged three adjoining properties and three vehicles. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is deemed non suspicious and the investigation is ongoing.
