After a soft opening late last year, Blaze Pizza in East Farmingdale celebrated its grand opening with a ceremony in July.  Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez and Councilman Terence McSweeney were on-hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new restaurant.

Supervisor Schaffer presented the owner and staff members with a Certificate of Special Recognition for safely opening during the pandemic with a commitment to serving the community.

Blaze Pizza is known for its artisanal pies served up with speed. You can create your own pizza or pick off the menu.

The selection of pizzas includes their Art Lover, which includes artichokes, mozzarella, ricotta, chopped garlic and red sauce dollops ($9.95), Green Stripe, made of pesto drizzle over grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, chopped garlic, mozzarella and arugula ($9.95), and the Meat Eaters, topped with pepperoni, crumbled meatballs, red onion, mozzarella, and red sauce ($9.95).

On Yelp, Kyle S, from Seaford, gave it five stars.

“Great place,” he wrote in his review. “I really enjoyed blaze pizza :-) will be going back!”

Eeman Z, of Dix Hills, also likes Blaze Pizza.

“Great pizza! Great service,” she wrote.

She described how one of the servers helped her fix her pizza quickly.

“It's always yummy whenever I eat here and on top of that, I came in today and I looked at my pizza with mild distress lol because there was a topping on top that should have been on the side. Megan was quick to notice and rectify the situation,” she wrote. “The quick and lovely customer service changed an average visit to one where I left satisfied and taken care of.”
