“Hiring our Heroes” Veterans Hiring Fair - August 14
Agust 1, 2013 - Smithtown, NY- Suffolk County Legislator Lynne C. Nowick is pleased to announce that a free veterans’ career fair will take place at Farmingdale Armed Forces Reserve Center at 25 Baiting Place Road in Farmingdale on August 14 from 10:00am – 1:00pm. Beginning at 9:00am there will be employment workshops for veterans conducted by the University of Phoenix. This will be followed by one-on-one mentoring sessions with participants that focus on resume writing and interviewing techniques. The job fair is sponsored by the US Chamber of Commerce, NYS Department of Labor, Suffolk County Veterans’ Service Agency and many more organizations. Legislator Nowick said, “This is a great opportunity to provide our valued veterans with assistance in securing employment.”
