The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce Presents: Eggs with Al

Riverhead, NY - July 29th, 2013 - The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present Legislator Al Krupski at its upcoming breakfast meeting, Eggs & Issues on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at The Hotel Indigo, 1830 Route 25 in Riverhead.

Legislator Krupski represents the First Legislative District in Suffolk County. As your representative on the East End, he will discuss ways to facilitate small business development in the first legislative district and throughout Suffolk County.  Mr. Krupski will also be discussing the proposed footbridge from Riverside to Downtown Riverhead and looking for his constituents input.  Other topics of interest are land use issues, permitting in the Department of Health, and sewers and decentralized wastewater treatment. Bring your questions and ideas for our healthy exchange of ideas over breakfast.

Some of his legislative priorities include: improving water quality and the environment; continuing to preserve farmland and open space; keeping taxes in check; promoting economic growth; protecting the health and welfare of Suffolk County residents. 

He sponsored legislation authorizing the acquisition of Farmland Development Rights under the New Suffolk County Drinking Water Protection program for the Riverhead Central School District No. 2 property; sponsored a Local Law to expand exemptions to boating safety instruction requirements for retired members of the United States Coast Guard, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the United States Navy; sponsored legislation to adopt a Charter Law to strengthen farmland preservation in Suffolk County; sponsored legislation to adopt a Local Law to improve the process of Procuring Surveying and Environmental Assessment Services; sponsored legislation to appoint member to the Suffolk County Board of Trustees of Parks, Recreation, and Conservation.

Before becoming County Legislator for the First District, Al served twenty years as a Southold Town Trustee, the last fourteen of which serving as President and seven years as a Town Board Member.
