Sabor A Colombia Comes to Massapequa

A new restaurant opened in Massapequa this month and according to reviews, the food is legit. Sabor A Colombia is a family-owned restaurant that features live music every week and authentic Columbian dishes.

 

They serve breakfast until 2pm daily. The menu features desayuno sabor a Colombia, a mixture of scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions served with rice and beans, top round steak, fried pork skin sausage and corn ($14.50), huevos en cacerola, two fried eggs served with corn cake and cheese ($9.99), among other dishes.

 

The main menu includes sabor a colombia platter with grilled top round steak and ground beef served with rice, beans, sweet plantains, fried egg, fried pork skin sausage, small corn cake, and avocado ($18.50) and breaded chicken served with rice and beans ($12.50). They also have an extensive seafood menu including flounder, porgy, salmon and shrimp dishes.

On Yelp, S T., from Westbury, called it amazing.

 

“The Paella was to die for and the owners are very friendly people,” they wrote. “They also have a real outdoor patio with comfortable seating. Will be back again!!!”

 

Diana C, of Massapequa, gave it five stars.

 

“This new Colombian place in Massapequa is excellent,” she wrote. “The decor was nice, food was legit (I know some good Colombian Food). The place was so packed but the food actually was served fairly quickly.  Prices reasonable and the service was very good too. I am going to bring my whole family back!”
