eShin Noodle Bar Opens in Stony Brook

With high caliber chefs, eShin Noodle Bar is making waves as one of the best casual noodle bars in Suffolk County.

 

Their website says that after years of training at a Michelin-starred NYC ramen restaurant, the chefs made the permanent move to Long Island.

 

The menu features hot and cold starters like roasted mushrooms, shiitake, cremini and oyster mushrooms with truffle soy, herbs and toasted seaweed ($13), pork buns ($11), and toro buns, bluefin fatty tuna tartare, crispy bun, sesame, black tobiko caviar, and nori soy ($4).

The ramen menu includes tori dashi, which is chicken dashi broth, confit chicken, cucumber, onion, jalapeno, and herbs ($14), mu, a ten-hour savory beef broth, wagyu brisket, bean sprout, kikurage, and scallion ($16), and aka tonkotsu, a 10-hour spicy miso pork broth, wagyu brisket, bean sprout, kikurage, shiso, pickled napa and scallion ($15).

On Yelp, Faith R, from Stony Brook gave it five stars.

 

“Every dish we had was perfect,” she wrote.”The flavors and presentation were so high end. Great vibe and staff. The owner and chefs are very experienced and friendly. Support local and have an awesome meal!”

 

Gina F, from Port Jefferson, says “run, don’t walk” to eShin Noodle Bar.

 

“If you can even conceive of Michelin-level casual Ramen, this is it,” she wrote. “I'm not throwing the word around willy nilly either. In this case, two of eShins chefs worked in NYC Michelin restaurants, and it shows, because this is easily the highest quality Ramen in Suffolk County.”
