1653 Pizza Company Opens in Huntington

Written by Lon Cohen  |  02. August 2021

1653 Pizza Company recently opened in Huntington and it’s lighting up Yelp and other food review sites with high praise. Describing itself as a coal-fired pizzeria and cocktail bar the menu is simple yet contains just about everything you’d expect - and some things you might not.

For example, the appetizers include a pizzeria salad with radicchio, endivem baby greens, saved red onion, heirloom tomato, and lemon mustard vinaigrette ($12). They also have a mozzarella prosciutto ($16) and an eggplant parmigiana ($14).

Their coal fired pizza menu is diverse with red and white sauce pies. The Gerard stands out on the red pie menu which is upside down, mozzarella, tomato, basil, pepperoni, parmigiana and vodka sauce. The bacon jam jumps out on the white pie side with mozzarella, scamorza, bacon jam, and shaved red onion.

They also have a pasta menu and entrees that include coal fired half chicken ($26), brown butter rib eye ($45), and monkfish piccata ($28).
