Officials: Queens Man Busted After Attempted Motorcycle Theft in Valley Stream

Valley Stream, NY - July 27, 2018 - The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of an individual on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at approximately 4:17am in Valley Stream.
According to Detectives, Officers were notified of two suspicious males looking into cars and house windows on Fieldstone Lane and Heatherfield Road. The investigation led to the arrest of Defendant Anthony W. Kinlocke, 18, of Springfield Gardens, NY. The defendant matched the description of one of the suspicious males and was in possession of wire cutters, a screwdriver and what appeared to be a section of a vehicle’s ignition cylinder.
Subsequently it was determined that a home on Fieldstone Lane was damaged and a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle had the ignition cylinder damaged in an attempt to start it and drive it from the scene.
Defendant Kinlocke was charged with Burglary, Grand Larceny, two counts of Criminal Mischief and Possession of Burglar’s Tools. He will be arraigned on Friday, July 27, 2018 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
