Rockville Centre Man in NCPD Custody After Stabbing Victim During Altercation

Rockville Centre, NY - July 27, 2017 - First Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for an assault that occurred in Rockville Centre on Tuesday, 07/25/17 at 7:33 A.M.
 
According to detectives, Jordan Reid, 24, Rockville Centre, was involved in a verbal argument with a male victim, 24, (known to each other), on Park Ave., which escalated into a physical altercation. The defendant then stabbed the victim in the lower back with an unknown object and fled the scene.
 
North Shore Ambulance transported the victim, who sustained a puncture wound, to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
 
First Squad detectives arrested Reid on Wednesday, 07/26/17. He is being charged with Assault 1st Degree (Attempt), Assault 2nd Degree, Possession Dangerous Weapon 4th Degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, 07/27/17 in First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
