Floral Park, NY - July 26, 2018 - GivNGo Fuel, a new and unique Long Island-based gas station chain, will be holding the Grand Opening of its new Floral Park location - at 286 Jericho Turnpike - this Friday, July 27, at 10 a.m. But while you’ll be able to full up your tank and grab a few snacks for the road as you would at any typical gas station, what sets GivNGo Fuel apart is the fact that a portion of every single gas sale goes towards a very worthy cause, allowing customers to “Give and Go” to make a difference in their community.

For every gallon pumped at participating gas stations, a portion of proceeds will be given to the PinkTie 1000 Foundation, a 501c3 not-for-profit charitable networking organization. In turn, funds will be donated to local charities every quarter; in the case of the Floral Park GivNGo, the Rotary Club of Floral Park and the Kiwanis Club of Floral Park at the current beneficiaries. If 100,000 gallons are pumped in a month, $1,000 will be raised towards a donation to these great local civic groups.

The Rotary Club of Floral Park is a service and networking organization made up of local businesspeople and community leaders of Floral Park and Bellerose. The Kiwanis Club of Floral Park is part of the worldwide organization of 300,000 men and women volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child at a time. Both groups are very active in the Floral Park community and engage in numerous civic-minded and charity-based projects.

GivNGo Fuel’s stated mission is to establish a national campaign utilizing Pink-branded gas stations to raise funds for local charities. This program, they said, will give individuals an easy and passive way to help raise funds for local charities or causes that provide resources and/or services to local communities.

Mike Cave, Founder of PinkTie 1000, said that it is vitally important for businesses to give back to the communities that support them; doing so is GivNGo Fuel ‘s primary mission, and that is what sets it apart from your typical fill-up station.

“If more people realized that giving back would not only grow their business but also make them feel good because of the positive impact they are making in their community, I think the world would be a better place. This is a remarkable opportunity for people to give back and support local charities. One gallon at a time from Long Island to across America!”

Cave founded PinkTie 1000 in 2012 as a collaborative effort uniting high-profile participants from the sports, entertainment, and business worlds in order to further awareness of the local philanthropic efforts they support. PinkTie’s methodology consists of growing personally and professionally through giving back and building a strong presence in the community, capturing the true spirit of Long Islanders as they join together in the fight against diseases that disproportionately affect their friends, families, and loved ones.

GivNGo Fuel currently has locations in Freeport, Huntington, and Floral Park, with new locations in the works in Central Islip, Deer Park, Elmont, and Lynbrook.
