Motorcyclist Killed in Motor Vehicle Crash in Stony Brook

Stony Brook, NY - July 26th, 2014 - Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Stony Brook tonight.
 
Thomas Macca was driving a 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Nicolls Road near Stony Brook University when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into a wire cable on the center median of the road at approximately 6:10 p.m.
 
Macca, 31, of North Babylon, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where he died of his injuries.
 
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check. Anyone that may have witnessed this crash, but has not yet been interviewed by detectives, is requested to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
