NCPD: Two in Custody After Stealing Over $24,000 in Electronics from Westbury Business

Westbury, NY - July 25, 2018 - Second Squad Detectives report the details of the arrest of two males for a Grand Larceny that occurred on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 9:48 p.m. in Westbury.
 
According to detectives, Second Precinct Officers responded to BJ’s Wholesale Club at 6000 Brush Hollow Road for an alarm. After an investigation it was determined that the Verizon Kiosk within BJ’s had been broken into. Cell phones and tablets valued in excess of $24,000 were taken. Further investigation led detectives to Springfield Gardens, Queens and a subsequent arrest of Donald Hayes, 38, of Oyster Bay and Mark Hoousendove, 52, of Springfield Gardens.
 
Defendant Donald Hayes is charged with Grand Larceny and defendant Mark Hoousendove is charged with Grand Larceny and an unrelated warrant charge for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. Both defendants will be arraigned on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
