Queens Man Charged with Series of Nassau County Burglaries, Authorities Report

Major Case bureau detectives from the Burglary Pattern Squad report the arrest of a Queens man for burglaries that occurred in Nassau County.
 
According to detectives, Adron Douglas, 30, after a subsequent investigation involving video surveillance and DNA evidence, were able to identify Douglas as the person responsible for breaking into the following establishments and removing cash from within.
 
  • 7/3/2018 at 6:16 pm – Island Park Senior Citizen Housing, 347 Long Beach Road, Island Park
  • 7/4/2018 at 12:07 am – Crescent Apartments, 280 Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway
  • 7/11/2018 at 3:00 am – Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority, 355 Newbridge Road, Hicksville
Douglas, who was incarcerated at Rikers Island for an unrelated incident, was placed under arrest. He is charged with three (3) counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Grand Larceny 4th Degree, Petit Larceny, three (3) counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree and three (3) counts of Possession of Burglary Tools. Douglas was arraigned in Supreme Court.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
