Legislators Sarah Anker and Kara Hahn Honor the Coalition of Fraternal and Veterans Organizations

Hauppauge, NY - July 23, 2018 - On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 Legislators Sarah Anker and Kara Hahn presented proclamations to the Coalition of Fraternal and Veterans Organizations at the General Legislative Meeting. The seven organizations that make up the Coalition of Fraternal and Veterans Organizations were honored for the incredible work they do every day to support local veterans.
 
The Coalition of Fraternal and Veterans Organizations (CFVO) includes the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1379 of Port Jefferson, American Legion Wilson Ritch Post 432 of Port Jefferson Station, VFW Post 4927 of Centereach, VFW Post 9486 of Ronkonkoma, VFW Post 6249 of Rocky Point, the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 2138 of Centereach, and the Marine Corps Veterans of Long Island Mercury Detachment. The organizations offer valuable services to veterans, provide youth mentoring services, sponsor community programs, donate to veteran organizations, and aid active service member’s families.
 
“I would like to thank all of the organizations that generously donate their time to work together as part of the CFVO,” said Legislator Sarah Anker. “The services and support they provide to our local veterans, service members, and their families are invaluable and extremely important.”
 
“I was pleased to join with Legislator Sarah Anker to honor our community’s Coalition of Fraternal and Veterans Organization,” stated Legislator Kara Hahn. “These organizations are so important and honoring them today with a proclamation was our way of saying thank you for all the support they offer to the many veterans within Suffolk County.”
