Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Officers helped deliver a baby in Commack.
 
Officers Walter Fingerle, Kenneth Kaufold, and Douglas Nassifi responded to a 911 call from Thomas Geness of his wife giving birth at a residence on Lafayette Ave. The officers arrived and assisted Christine Geness, the full term expectant mother, who gave birth to a baby girl.
 
Christine Geness, 37, and her newborn daughter were transported to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown by Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps in good condition.
