Rosé wines have become a popular summertime offering over the last few years. It’s a pink-tinted vino but it’s not just for the ladies. Guys have embraced rosé too. (There is even a term for it: brosé.) Below we listed 8 Long Island vineyards making their own vintage of rosé.

Croteaux Wineries

This vineyard is actually dedicated exclusively to rosés. Specifically on its website the winemaker says that they are “the only vineyard in the United States to do so.” They have plenty to choose from so head over and take a look.

Sparkling Pointe

This vineyard boasts of wines that are “sustainably grown on three vineyard sites comprising 40 acres within the North Fork of Long Island American Viticultural Area.” Try the Topaz Imperial Brut Rosé.

McCall Wines

They have been growing grapes on the North Fork since the 1990s. Try the Marjorie’s Rosé.

Wölffer Estate Vineyard

The Summer in a Bottle Rosé got a makeover for its bottle in 2019 but the winemaker says it’s got the same great flavor. Aptly named.

Macari Vinyards

This family-owned vineyard produces wine on the North Fork. Try their 2018 Rosé, a blend of malbec, merlot, cabernet franc, pinot noir, petit verdot, pinot meunier, and cabernet sauvignon.

Shinn Estate Vineyards

Their dry rosé is called Rose Hill Rosé or their 100% Merlot Rosé.

Lieb Cellars

A blend of 80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay, the 2016 Estate Sparkling Rosé is a bubbly pink drink.

Paumanok

This vineyard has a dry rose available (which they say to pair with summertime picnics, simple antipasto fare and sea-side sipping) and their Vin Rose (good with spicier food.)
