Suspect Wanteed for Robbing Hauppauge 711 at Gunpoint

Hauppauge, NY - July 20th, 2015 - Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Hauppauge early this morning.

A man entered 7-Eleven, located at 722 Townline Road, at approximately 1:50 a.m., displayed what appeared to be a gun and demanded cash. The clerk gave the suspect cash from the drawer and the suspect fled on foot westbound on Townline Road.

The suspect was described as approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a mask, a black hooded-sweatshirt, black pants and sunglasses. The clerk suffered a minor injury during the robbery and was treated and released at Stony Brook University Hospital.

The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
