NCPD: Man Yells at Bicycle-Riding Teen He Struck with Vehicle, Then Flees Scene

Oceanside, NY - July 19, 2018 - The Fourth Squad Detectives report the details of a motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist that occurred on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10:05 P.M. in Oceanside.
 
According to detectives, a 16 year old female was riding her bicycle north on Quebec Road and was struck by a vehicle traveling west on Warwick Road. After the collision, the operator of the vehicle pulled over, exited his vehicle and yelled at the bicyclist as she lay on the roadway. The operator then got back into his vehicle and drove off. The female victim was later transported to an area hospital by her mother. She was treated for non-life threatening injuries to her head and her limbs.
 
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic operating an older white Jeep Cherokee with black racks on the roof. The vehicle had gold New York plates.
