SCPD Officers Deliver Baby Girl at Residence in Medford

Medford, NY - July 19, 2015 - Suffolk County Police officers helped deliver a baby girl in Medford this morning.

Officers James Caporale and Paul Rocchio responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:15 a.m. at a residence located at 124 Southaven Ave., Medford. When the officers arrived, they observed a 37-year-old woman in active labor.  The officers assisted the mother in delivering a healthy baby girl.

Both mother and daughter were transported via Medford Volunteer Ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital.
