Supervisor Lupinacci Addresses Gurwin Senior Citizen Graduates

Commack, NY - July 17, 2018 - Huntington Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci addressed the Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Adult Education graduates on May 31st at the Gurwin Center Simon Rainbow Room.
 
Lupinacci congratulated the graduates for their accomplishment and devotion to learning. "All of you graduating tonight have made your family members, friends and your Gurwin family proud, and you serve as a shining example to those who follow in your footsteps,” said Supervisor Lupinacci. "I offer special congratulations to the hard work and efforts of Valedictorian Nancy Dorn and Salutatorian Faith Goodman."
 
The Adult Education Curriculum consisted of units ranging from “Optimizing Brain Fitness” to “Evolution of Theatre.” The nine month program was established 30 years ago and its main goal is to keep the residents of the Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center active.
 
The Gurwin Jewish Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 460-bed nursing and rehabilitation center. Their services include long-term care, short-term rehabilitation, ventilator and respiratory care, Alzheimer’s/dementia care, palliative and hospice care, medical and social adult day care programs and on-site dialysis.
