Lights, Camera, Action! LI Film Expo Coming July 17-25 in Bellmore.

The Long Island Film/TV Foundation and the Nassau County Film Commission are proud to announce that the Long Island International Film Expo will be held at the Bellmore Movies from July 17 – 25, 2013. Past festivals have hosted from 50 – 155 short and feature-length independent films from all over the globe during this week-long film festival.

Every film genre is considered.

Screening passes are $10, Festival Day Passes are $25 and for a Gold Pass-to see all festival films the cost is $65. Bring a friend for free- so it’s actually 2 for 1!

The Long Island International Film Expo kicks off with the ” invitation only ” opening night party. Participating filmmakers, sponsors, dignitaries,board members, press and media, and ticket holders are invited to this relaxed gathering.

Several panels are held during the first weekend of the Long Island International Film Expo — a distribution panel, a script- writing panel, legal music panel and a filmmaker panel & breakfast.

Once the winners of the Long Island International Film Expo are chosen by a combination of audience ballot and judging committee, they are honored at the Long Island International Film Expo Closing Night Party and Awards Ceremony, where they receive their trophies and winners’ prizes.

Formats for screening are DVD and BluRay. Top of the line projection equipment is used, so you can expect that all video screenings have the highest screening quality.

Some of the award categories: Best Director, Best Story, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Long Island Film, Best Student Film, Best Animation, Best Foreign Film and others, Technical and special categories. There will be several technical and special categories judged before the film festival by special entry. Technical categories will include: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Lighting.
